What’s your line in the sand?

Seven months into a global pandemic and many of us are scared to have honest conversations about how we are feeling for fear of being ridiculed or crucified. What happened to the idea of being able to have respectful conversations with people whose ideas might differ from your own?

I don’t agree with much of the information we are receiving from MSM, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want want to hear all sides of a story. I listen, do my own research and then ultimately listen to my gut. It tends to be right 99.9% of the time.

One of the biggest controversies we are facing today is to mask or not to mask. Some people feel that wearing a mask is to make other people feel safe while others feel that a mask is pointless and makes them feel muzzled. I have heard many people say, “What’s the big deal it’s just a mask?” and to this statement I typically reply. “If someone told me in 2019 that the world would be mandated to wear masks, I wouldn’t have believed them.” I am still struggling to understand how quickly we masked up without question and am concerned about confirmed reports that we are losing our civil liberties and watching our economy tank.

If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask. If you don’t, then don’t, but the question I ask myself everyday is…What will be my line in the sand? Will I stand up for the right to chose to vaccinate or not? Will I let others speak for me or will I be brave enough to speak my truth?

Just a thought…
